Description

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Processing of books of account up to trial balance
  • Perform reconciliations of accounts
  • Setting up and analyzing of monthly management accounts
  • Prepare for and liaise with external auditors at financial year end
  • Ensure all statutory requirements are met (VAT and PAYE submissions)
  • Apply IFRS in books of accounts
  • Maintain fixed asset registers
  • Setting up annual budgets
  • Manage small accounting staff compliment

Requirements

Minimum requirements for the position:

  • Sound knowledge of income tax and accounting principles
  • Applicable University Degree (BCom/BCompt or similar Diploma) or studying towards
  • 5 Years’ experience working in Oracle or similar ERP system as an accountant (must be recent experience)
  • Completed SAIPA or SAICA articles.
