Kioo limited is private owned Company (part of Madhvani group of Companies) founded in 1963 is the biggest producer of container glass in East and Central Africa. The Company has a workforce of more than 600 highly skilled employees and has a record of uninterrupted operations for last 61 years. It operates two furnaces with six production lines and had installed capacity of 400 tons per day on a 24 x 7 basis. Its major energy source being natural gas for glass melting as well as for production of own electricity for motive power.
The below vacancy needs to be filled immediately with experienced and competent person: –
Civil Engineer:
- Responsible for overseeing engineering and technical design of civil engineering projects such as Infrastructure and buildings
- Responsible for managing, designing, developing, creating and maintaining construction projects
- Will be responsible for conducting on-site investigations and analyzing data
- Assists the Project Manager to assess potential risks, materials and costs
- Responsible to carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications
- Responsible for assessing potential risks, materials and costs
- To monitor progress and compile reports in project status
- Must be able to read and interpret civil drawings
- Should be able to understand and evaluate BOQ with drawings
- Ensure proper checking of jobs as per drawings and BOQ
- Should be having knowledge test result analysis of civil procedures
- Doing feasibility assessments and site inspections.
The ideal candidate is expected to possess the below: –
- Age should be from 35 to 40 years old
- Should possess proven working experience in civil engineering an of not less than 3 years
- Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar
- Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals etc
- Must be a Registered Engineer
- Should possess strong project management
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and design
- Should also have knowledge of MEP related to buildings
- A graduate in Civil Engineering
