Background
The Women’s Promotion Centre (WPC) is non-profit women-led organization that has been working in Tanzania since 2004 on prevention of violence against women and girls, sexual and reproductive health rights and empowering women socially and economically. Through our work with our partners, we strive to ensure the society recognizes and respects women’s rights and dignity through upholding equality between women and men, and boys and girls.

WPC has been implementing the Keeping Adolescent Girls in Schools (KAGIS) project in Kibondo and Kakonko districts of Kigoma region in partnership with Plan International. Under the KAGIS project, intends to hire a consultant who will Train Menstrual Hygiene Health (MHH) Lab Facilitators.

General Objectives
Provide technical assistance to peer educators and MHH lab facilitators to deliver MHH and family planning messaging and commodities to adolescent girls.

Specific Objective
• To equip MHH lab facilitators with knowledge and skills that enable them to deliver
MHH, SRHR and family planning messaging to adolescent girls.
• To equip facilitators with knowledge, skills and methods that will be applicable when transferring the knowledge acquired through MHH lab to the community

Expected Outcome
• MHH lab facilitators capacitated to deliver MHH information, knowledge and services to adolescent girls through established labs and in-school sessions.
Scope of Work
The consultant will undertake a six-days training in Kibondo district involving participants (MHH lab facilitators) from Kibondo and Kakonko. The consultant will be expected to train MHH lab facilitators under supervision of and collaboration with the program officer. The training exercise will be preceded with a brief orientation to the KAGIS project to get a clear picture of what is intended, and the contribution needed towards realizing the goal.

Key Deliverable:
• Pre and Post-test results of MHH lab facilitators are conducted and analyzed for knowledge measurement.
• 34 MHH lab facilitators are capacitated to to deliver MHH, SRHR and family planning messaging to adolescent girls.
• Trained MHH lab facilitators are capable able to cascade knowledge MHH
knowledge
• A training report of the consultant is produced one day after completion of the training.

Education and Experience
• Master’s degree or higher in Medicine, Public health, Nursing from a recognized academic institution
• At least 5 years of professional experience working in the health sector and mainly training MHH lab facilitators
• Proven communication and facilitation skills.
• High level of result-based reporting skills
• Experience in working with donor-funded programs.
• Proficiency in Swahili and English.
• Knowledge of basic computer programs (MS Word and PPT)
