Scope: Watering, Fertilization and Climate Control

Job Description:

1. To communicate to the superior to get job instructions.
2. To do watering as per instructions based on crop need and weather conditions.
3. To monitor plant growth and advise Agronomy Manager accordingly.
4. Pre-planting preparation including watering and disinfection of drip lines and sprinklers.
5. To report any problem in the irrigation system to the Agronomy Manager.
6. To advise Agronomy Manager in watering schedules in relation to weather conditions.
7. To give extra water to slow-growing plants using hosepipe during propagation period.
8. To monitor humidity and temperature in greenhouses using available equipment for measuring climate in the greenhouse.
9. To monitor light intensity in greenhouses during propagation/rooting period.
10. To maintain moisture in the tunnels/plugs and fertigation in propagation for Rooted Cuttings orders.
11. Advise or/and communicate all deviations from standard cultivation of each crop in relation but not limited to shading, irrigation volumes, EC and pH deviations.

Qualification & Experience Required:

• Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE); candidates with agriculture studies at this level will have an added advantage.

• Basic Certificate in General Agriculture or any related agricultural field (mandatory).

• Diploma in General Agriculture or a closely related agricultural discipline is a strong advantage.

• Communication skills and computer skills is advantage
