Good Earth Tours is offering an exciting internship opportunity at our Moshono, Arusha offices. We are looking for dedicated individuals with a passion for travel and an interest in designing and selling customized tours. This is a fantastic chance to gain hands-on experience in the travel industry, particularly in the African safari sector which may lead to an employment opportunity.

Job Title: Safari Consultant Intern

Job Description: As a Safari Consultant Intern, you will assist in creating collaterals, designing and selling customized safaris and tours to wildlife and adventure destinations throughout East and Southern Africa. This position involves working from our Moshono, Arusha offices and supporting our team in various sales and customer service tasks.

Job Duties:

• Assist in qualifying leads via email correspondence and phone interviews.
• Support the design and sale of customized tours using a consultative sales approach.
• Help research and design creative safari and tour proposals.
• Collaborate with destination-based partners to price and reserve itineraries.
• Use productivity tools such as Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook), CRM, and WETU itinerary creator.
• Assist with answering pre-trip questions and managing itinerary, date, and flight changes.
• Participate in post-trip follow-up, including interviews with returning clients and investigating complaints.
• Attend meetings with partner suppliers to learn about new products.
• Maintain professional knowledge by reviewing professional publications and participating in educational workshops.

Skills Needed:

• Ability to understand customer needs and establish positive relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office productivity software including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.

Experience/Qualifications:

Compensation:

• This is an internship position with an allowance provided.
