Required Qualifications

• Degree in Taxation, accounting, finance, business administration or any related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Tax and Budget Preparation and Control
• Must be a Tanzanian
• Must be fluent in writing and speaking English language
• Ability to use Microsoft Excel and other accounting software packages such as Quick Books, Tally or familiarity with sage
• Applicants should have a high level of discipline, communicative and interpersonal skills, analytical, innovative problem-solving skills and time-managing skills.

Responsibilities

Budget

• Preparing budget forecast and ensuring its consistency with planned recruitment, procurement and operational decisions
• Reviews and analyses the cost estimates and budget proposals
• preparation of supporting documents (narrative and financial tables) with respect to finalization of cost estimates and budget proposals
• monitoring the approved budget on a continuous basis and participating in the preparation of relevant financial reports;
• Ensuring that all expenditures are recorded in line with financial rules and regulations of the Organization and approved budget structure is applied in a correct and consistent manner

Tax

• Overseeing the tax transactions across the Company’s sites
• Tax forecasts controlling and data validation of the reports
• Coordinating and participating in tax audits and reviews
• Supporting and advising the Company’s in tax related issues
• To conduct desk audit on simple cases and assist in field audits
• To prepare respective periodic management reports
