Position Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and eager-to-learn Technical Installation Intern to join our team in Dar es Salaam. This is a unique opportunity for recent graduates from technical colleges or polytechnics to gain hands-on experience in the security industry. The intern will assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of advanced security systems, working closely with our experienced technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with Installations: Support the technical team in the installation of CCTV cameras, electric fences, access control systems, and alarm systems at various client sites.
- System Configuration: Help configure system software, set up access controls, and test security equipment to ensure they meet operational standards.
- Troubleshooting: Learn how to identify and resolve technical issues that arise during installation and routine maintenance.
- Cable Management: Assist in running and managing cables, ensuring neat and efficient setup of security systems.
- Site Assessments: Participate in site surveys to identify the best locations for security equipment installation and assess potential security risks.
- Documentation: Aid in maintaining accurate records of installations, configurations, and maintenance activities.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and company guidelines to ensure safe working conditions during all installation activities.
Requirements:
- Recent graduate with a diploma or certificate in a technical field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Security Systems Technology) from a technical college or polytechnic.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, networking, or security systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Willingness to work on-site and travel to various installation locations within Dar es Salaam.
- Preferred: Basic hands-on experience with tools and equipment related to security system installations (e.g., drills, cable testers) is an added advantage.
