VISUAL DESIGN INTERN
At Justdiggit, we are passionately committing ourselves to landscape
restoration in Sub-Saharan Africa. To strengthen our team and further our
mission, we are looking for a visual design intern with design experience
and an affinity with agriculture. Together, we will enable smallholder
farmers to regreen their land using mobile technology.

ABOUT JUSTDIGGIT
Justdiggit is a fast-growing non-profit organisation that restores degraded ecosystems in Africa by making dry lands green again with a positive impact on climate, nature, and people.
To achieve our goal of scaling our impact to millions of farmers by 2030, we developed a Digital Regreening Platform, with an app as its core component. This platform educates and activates farmers to implement effective regreening methods.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field
You are a passionate and enthusiastic 3rd-year student, who is looking for a challenge
You have an affinity with Justdiggit’s mission and interest in agriculture
You have an affinity for finding visuals and creating engaging content
You have a good command of Adobe CC: Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro, Figma or equivalent software
You have a strong interest and proven experience in social media Basic knowledge of and experience with WordPress is preferable Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Fluency in both English and Kiswahili
You can work independently and show initiative
You are eager to learn and like a hands-on internship
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be part of the Digital Regreening Team, a diverse group with members from various nationalities
and backgrounds. The team recently developed and launched an educational app in Tanzania aimed at farmers and pastoralists. The current focus is on promoting the app, building a digital community, further app development, and scaling up to other African countries.
Your responsibilities will include:
Gathering and selecting visuals for courses, app screens, and social media posts. Enhancing visuals in Photoshop, Canva or other tools, as needed.
Supporting the upload of new course content into the Learning Management System. Participating in team meetings and contributing to discussions on design and user experience.
