Southern Highlands Technical Coordinator Job Vacancy at TCCO

Technical and Training

•Develop new clinics and consolidate existing clinics in the zone concerning clubfoot management/treatment, continuous education and data collection, monitoring and evaluation.

•Organize the basic/advanced ACT, CAST, tenotomy and refresher trainings.

•Schedule and organize regular support supervision visits to participating clinics in the zone 3 or 4 times per year (depending on their performance).

•Ensure that CAST is used appropriately by clinic staff and keep updated on developments in CAST through the CAST administrator.

•Nurture good relationships and communicate regularly, at least once a month, with each clinic supervisor to determine progress concerning performance indicator, in person or via zoom/telephone and assist in solving problems.

•Create good working relationships with local organizations involved in identifying/referring children with clubfeet from within the zone.

Team leader:

•Chair weekly meetings with the team to evaluate the activities in the previous week and ensure that outstanding issues are followed up; discuss and guide the activities for the week to come.

Administrative and financial

•Ensure that MoU’s are circulated to all partner hospitals/ clinics for the management to sign at the beginning of each new FY.

•Maintain or establish relationships with vendors to ensure reliable and cost-effective supplies

•Ensure constant supply of treatment materials (POP, cotton, fiber casts, SFAB’s, tenotomy materials) to all clinics at the beginning of each quarter and make sure that consumables are always available.

Requirements:

Basic Requirements;

•Working experience at least 1 year working in a clubfoot clinic.

•A diploma or degree in Physiotherapy, Prosthetics and Orthotics, Occupational Therapy or Medicine, from a recognized institution.

•Should have Basic and Advance Ponseti trainings.

•Experience managing and motivating a team preferred, with demonstrated success in cultivating a positive, empowering environment for team members

•Must be able to handle complex priorities, collaborate effectively with a team, be persistent and work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision

•Excellent written and spoken Kiswahili and English languages.

•Report writing skills and Computer literacy

•Supportive supervision skills an added advantage.
