Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Safaris Sales Consultant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the safari and travel industry, excellent client relationship management skills, and the ability to drive business growth. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage relationships with new and existing international travel agents, partners, and direct clients.
- Design, price, and present tailor-made itineraries and safari packages across Tanzania.
- Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends in the safari industry.
- Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior sales staff where necessary.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales within the safari, travel, or luxury hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of Tanzania’s safari circuits (Northern, Southern, Western, Zanzibar).
- Familiarity with safari itinerary software (e.g., Wetu, Tourwriter, or similar platforms).
- Established network of industry contacts (agents, DMCs, and operators) preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Highly motivated, results-oriented, and client-focused.
- Proficiency in English (additional languages are an advantage).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
