What’s the role?

As an Area Sales Manager you will lead a sales team within the Hilti Division of our Partner Organization, you will be reporting to the General Manager and overseeing a salesforce within a specific segment.

You will contribute to the profitable attainment of sales objectives, and you will develop the skills of the sales team with a focus on trade and application knowledge, and customer and product platform development.

What does the role involve?

The key responsibility of the ASM (Area Sales Manager) is to achieve sales targets; this will be done through the planning and management of your sales territories, developing the growth of key products, and successfully introducing new products, and targeting appropriate customers groups.

You will utilize all elements of the Sales Management Process to effectively analyze, implement, and control the opportunities within each territory.

You will partner with Finance, Marketing, Logistics, and other members of the Sales Management team to ensure a consistent approach to business; additionally, you will support through execution of sales/commercial projects.

You will provide leadership to your team members, as well as focusing on their continued development to build a high performing team.

A person with an agile approach to solving problems, Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Is enthusiastic to learn and drive to succeed, with a dynamic sales personality and a strong winning and high-performance mindset.

What you need is:

  • A relevant bachelor’s degree preferable in Engineering background
  • Advanced English communication
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 consecutive years in a sales management role, with proven ability to consistently meet performance targets.
  • Strong sales and Marketing skills – experience in marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems
  • A passion for people development
  • A well-developed ability to work with others at both an operational and strategic level.
  • A team oriented, self-driven, can-do attitude
  • Proven relationship management skills and the ability to communicate and present effectively.
  • A target and solution-oriented mind-set
  • Leadership skills and the capacity to convince
