JOB OPPORTUNITY: THOMSON SAFARIS LTD- STORES ASSISTANT

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Store Assistant with hands-on experience in spare parts inventory and management to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the inventory of automotive parts, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper organization.
• Receive, inspect, and record incoming spare parts.
• Ensure spare parts are properly stored, categorized, and easily accessible.
• Maintain accurate stock records and inventory control systems (manual and digital).
• Issue spare parts as per requests and ensure proper documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and legal requirements within the store.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and security of all items in the store.
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Collaborate with procurement and workshop to forecast spare part needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the store area.
• Prepare periodic inventory and usage reports for management.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a degree in a related field.
• Proven experience in storekeeping.
• Knowledge of spare parts is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of inventory management practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under minimum supervision.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
