Our client, a reputable Healthcare Company in Tanzania, is seeking a dedicated and well-organized HR and Admin Officer to oversee administrative functions, ensure smooth operations, and support effective implementation of company policies.

The Admin Officer will play a key role in HR management, staff welfare, compliance with statutory regulations, and overall office coordination. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, solutions-focused individual capable of handling both administrative and HR responsibilities with professionalism.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement the company’s HR policies and ensure employee compliance with bylaws.
  • Prepare employee assessment reports and conduct periodic performance appraisals.
  • Coordinate staff training and development programs.
  • Manage staff attendance, workplace productivity, and resolve grievances.
  • Organize monthly staff meetings and maintain effective communication.
  • Assist in preparing monthly payroll and ensure statutory compliance.
  • Enforce staff rules, regulations, and disciplinary measures.
  • Maintain and update employee records and files.
  • Act as Company Secretary, handling all corporate affairs and statutory matters.
  • Liaise with government officials regarding compliance requirements.
  • Supervise staff welfare, medical affairs, and grievance handling.
  • Schedule and prepare agendas for management meetings.
  • Conduct departmental follow-up meetings and report directly to the Managing Director.
  • Perform general administrative tasks as assigned.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least a BSc Degree in Human Resource/Business/Hospital/Health Management.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Management field (preferably in healthcare or related industries).
  • Strong knowledge of Tanzanian labor laws and statutory compliance.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities in English and Swahili.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of HR software is an advantage.
  • Integrity, confidentiality, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in the use of synergies, search for efficiency & performance.
  • People leadership and team development.
