Position: Tax Associate

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and review corporate, individual, and indirect tax returns in compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
- Conduct detailed tax research and provide advisory services on complex tax issues.
- Assist clients with tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring full compliance.
- Support tax audits and liaise with regulatory authorities on behalf of clients.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and communicate implications to clients and internal teams.
- Collaborate with audit and advisory teams to provide integrated financial solutions.
- Maintain accurate and organized client records and documentation.
- Prepare management reports and presentations as required.
- Mentor junior staff and assist in professional development initiatives within the team.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CPA(T) or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years and above of proven experience in a Tax and Auditing firm.
- Strong technical knowledge of corporate, personal, and indirect taxation in Tanzania.
- Proficiency in tax software (e.g., TIN, tax filing platforms) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Well-versed with Tanzanian tax laws, regulations, and international tax standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with professional client engagement.
