Job Purpose
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to business leaders, providing expert HR guidance and support to enhance business performance and drive organizational goals. The HRBP is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies, programs, and initiatives, while strategically aligning human capital strategy with the bank’s objectives. This role will oversee workforce planning, talent management, employee engagement, performance management, and complex employee relations across assigned business units.
Core Roles & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will operate as a consultant, coach, and driver of HR initiatives across the business units:
Strategic Partnership & Consulting
- Partner with business leaders to understand specific organizational goals and formulate corresponding HR strategies to support their achievement.
- Act as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues, providing expertise and data-driven recommendations.
- Support and drive organizational change and transformation initiatives.
- Coach managers on effective leadership and employee development practices.
Talent Management & Performance
- Implement and drive key HR initiatives, including talent acquisition, retention strategies, succession planning, and workforce development.
- Facilitate performance review processes and actively assist in building a sustainable high-performance culture across assigned units.
- Drive Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) strategies within business units.
Compliance & Analytics
- Handle complex employee relations issues and conduct thorough investigations in strict compliance with relevant labor laws and internal policies.
- Analyze HR metrics (data) and provide actionable insights to business leaders to improve efficiency and decision-making.
- Ensure full HR compliance with all regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices.
Capabilities & Experience
| Category | Requirement |
| Education | Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. |
| Certifications (Advantageous) | Master’s Degree or a professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM). |
| Experience | 5–8 years of HR experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a business partnering role, preferably within the banking or financial services sector. |
| Industry Knowledge | Strong understanding of banking operations and the associated regulatory environment. |
| Interpersonal Skills | Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Proven ability to influence and build trust with senior stakeholders. |
| Technical Acumen | Sound knowledge of employment law and HR best practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite. |
