Operations Controller – Job Description
Job Summary
A client of EQ8 Recruit is seeking an Operations Controller to support the coordination and execution of day-to-day logistics activities. Responsibilities include documentation management, communication with customers and suppliers, and ensuring operational readiness for shipments and site activities.
This role is ideal for someone organized, proactive, and comfortable in a hands-on logistics environment.

The Successful Applicant
To be shortlisted, candidates must possess the following skills and competencies (not limited to):
- Diploma or higher in Shipping, Port Management, Transport & Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the shipping or logistics industry.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
- Experience in port or site operations is an added advantage.
- Exposure to documentation for project cargo or over-dimensional cargo is beneficial.
Job Description
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Monitor new pre-alert shipments and ensure all documentation and compliance requirements are met.
- Support planning, coordination, and execution of operational processes.
- Maintain accurate records, files, and operations-related documentation.
- Prepare reports, status updates, and correspondence for ongoing shipments.
- Respond to customer and supplier inquiries in coordination with the Manager or Sales Head.
- Coordinate loading and unloading activities and ensure correct documentation is provided.
- Attend site and port operations when required.

Remuneration Package
