Job Summary
SEGA Girls’ Secondary School is seeking a dedicated and skilled Laboratory Technician to support the school’s science department. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth operation of laboratory activities and assist teachers and students in practical lessons.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and organize laboratory equipment and materials for experiments.

Assist science teachers during practical sessions.

Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety in the laboratory.

Conduct regular maintenance and inventory of laboratory tools, chemicals, and apparatus.

Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Provide technical support in setting up and conducting science projects or exhibitions.
Qualifications and Experience

Education: Diploma or Degree in Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a school or educational institution laboratory.

Knowledge: Strong knowledge of laboratory safety standards and procedures.

Skills:
-
Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent spoken and written Swahili and English.
