1. Deputy Head of Internal Audit (01 Post)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Risk Management: Support the Head of Internal Audit in improving risk management, control environments, and operational efficiency.

  • Evaluation: Identify and assess organizational risk areas and recommend improvements for auditing controls and accounting procedures.

  • Compliance: Perform internal audit activities according to the manual and checklist to ensure compliance with laws and organizational policies.

  • Reporting: Take responsibility for engagement supervision and draft reports; discuss recommendations with management.

  • Follow-up: Perform verification reviews on implemented measures following audit recommendations.

  • Strategic Improvement: Evaluate the Internal Audit Department’s structure, staffing, and policies to improve overall profitability.

  • Documentation: Manage and maintain all documentation for the Internal Audit section.

  • Field Visits: Conduct regular field visits for auditing purposes.

Academic Qualification & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related subjects.

  • Certification: Part-qualified professional (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIA, or equivalent).

  • Experience: At least 3 years of internal audit experience; 1 year of relevant industry experience (Banks/MFIs) is preferred.

  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Advanced), Audit Software, and data analytics tools (e.g., Python, R) is preferred.

  • Legal Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.


2. Admin & Insurance Officer (01 Post)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Administration: Coordinate all administrative functions in accordance with institutional policies.

  • Insurance Management: Oversee coverage for assets, motor vehicles, medical, and fidelity guarantees; handle renewals and record-keeping.

  • Claims: Follow up on insurance claims from incident reporting to settlement.

  • Product Development: Lead the development and administration of microinsurance products (e.g., credit life, loan protection).

  • Liaison: Coordinate with insurance companies, brokers, regulators, and internal departments (Finance, Procurement, Operations).

  • Compliance: Ensure all activities meet insurance laws and regulatory requirements in Tanzania.

Academic Qualification & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, or Business Administration.

  • Experience: 2–3 years in insurance operations, preferably within a bank or microfinance institution.

  • Skills: Practical knowledge of microinsurance products; proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

  • Attributes: High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.


3. Loan Officers (50 Posts)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Management: Build and maintain a high-quality loan portfolio.

  • Recruitment: Conduct member recruitment, screening, and orientation for loan products.

  • Field Work: Form client groups and maintain regular contact with them in the field (minimum 350 clients).

  • Processing: Verify client income-generating activities, process applications, and verify guarantors.

  • Collections: Manage loan disbursements and ensure timely collection of installments.

  • Customer Service: Provide high-quality service and documentation for all daily activities.

Academic Qualification & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree.

  • Experience: No experience required (though it is an added advantage).

  • Requirements: Must be willing to work at the field level and relocate as needed.

  • Skills: Strong negotiation, oral/written communication, and the ability to work in a team.
