Role Description
We are looking for an experienced Associate to support Human Capital Consulting Services within our Advisory Department in Tanzania.
As a Human Capital Services Associate, you will work with a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries to design and deliver tailored solutions in areas such as:
- Organizational design and development
- Talent management
- Change management
- Leadership development
- HR policy manual review and development
- HR surveys
- Executive sourcing
- HR transformation
Your role will involve supporting business development initiatives, managing and executing client engagements, and contributing to risk management activities related to these projects.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Business Development and Revenue Growth
- Participate in the preparation of proposals, bids, quotations, etc., including pitching for jobs.
- Business development through identifying and escalating opportunities for further work while on an engagement and participate in research and proposal writing.
- Assist and participate in client’s assignments.
2. Manage Engagements
- Participate in the development of work plans and budgets to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in delivering engagements.
- Assist in managing revenue, meet individual revenue targets, and ensure proper and timely billing.
- Assist in managing billing and prompting Engagement Managers for timely collection within 30 days of billing.
- Coordinate and attend kick-off and debrief meetings on every engagement and create Engagement Review Forms.
- Ensure a good relationship with clients is maintained in the process of performing client work, with all clients receiving 7-star service.
3. Risk Management
- Prepare risk management documents and ensure they are signed off and a task code obtained before starting any engagement.
- Coordinate and consult with the firm’s (Central Service) to ensure compliance with all processes and procedures.
- Prepare engagement files and ensure they are in line with the QRM requirements.
- Ensure all client and engagement files are populated with all the relevant documentation in line with QRM requirements, reviewed, and approved by the Partner/Director/Engagement Managers.
4. Team Management and Participation
- Participate in conducting training and capacity development for junior team members.
- Give timely and constructive feedback through the 360-performance feedback.
- Build/maintain internal relationships within your own team and other business units to ensure effective delivery of quality service to the client.
- Participate in firm-wide activities, e.g., training, staff meetings, CSR activities.
5. Personal Development
- Build industry knowledge through involvement in events, articles, and report creation.
- Ensuring proper utilization and productivity while observing CPD hours.
- Manage your own Learning and Development by identifying learning needs and taking appropriate steps to address these.
- Manage your own leave to ensure it is within firm requirements and takes into account ongoing engagements.
Academic Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or any other relevant field.
- Pursuing professional membership or certification with a relevant body, i.e., CIPD, IHRM, SHRM, etc.
- Registered member of the IHRM or SHRM (added advantage).
- Minimum of one (1) year’s general experience in human resources.
