Job Title: Branch Operations Officer BOII & BOIII

Job Purpose

To facilitate smooth customer banking operations at the branch by efficiently handling cash and non-cash transactions, cross-selling and up-selling bank products, and ensuring strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, and guidelines. The role also involves attending to customers, resolving queries, and providing accurate information on bank products and services.

Roles & Responsibilities

Principal Accountabilities

• Process customer requests related to account opening, maintenance, closures, and posting of both cash and non-cash transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with bank SOPs.
• Handle customer queries and complaints, ensuring timely resolution and feedback.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all bank products and actively engage in cross-selling and up-selling activities.
• Identify and contact potential customers to generate sales leads and expand the customer base.
• Scrutinize internal vouchers to ensure they are correctly drawn and authorized in line with customer mandates and the internal approval matrix.
• Perform clerical and administrative duties, including filing, workstation organization, and general housekeeping.
• Report any suspicious transactions in compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines.
• Deliver efficient, high-quality service to customers in accordance with established procedures and service standards.
• Ensure full compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, Know Your Customer (KYC) norms, and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) requirements.
• Act as custodian of deliverables, negotiable instruments, and, where appropriate, branch keys (main and rear entrances).
• Represent the bank in official functions such as BOT cash deposits and withdrawals when required.

Education, Experience & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of banking experience in branch operations with a proven track record of good performance.
