Position: Branch Operations Officer

Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Key Responsibilities

1. Branch Operations & Compliance

• Oversee daily branch operations.
• Ensure full compliance with internal policies, regulatory standards, and operational controls.

2. Customer Service & Client Relations

• Deliver excellent customer service and promptly respond to client inquiries.
• Support customer needs and issue timely payment reminders to reduce default risks.

3. Loan Processing & Transaction Management

• Support end-to-end loan application processing.
• Manage branch transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and loan disbursements.

4. Financial Reporting & Record Management

• Prepare and reconcile financial statements and records.
• Contribute to branch performance reports and analysis of key metrics.

5. Teamwork & Operational Efficiency

• Collaborate with branch staff to improve workflows.
• Promote operational efficiency and support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Banking and Finance.
• 1–2 years of experience as an accountant with strong financial knowledge.
• Proven customer service experience with excellent communication skills.
• Experience in a microfinance institution or bank is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical skills and great attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial software.
