Job Title Cashier
Department Floor
Reports to Restaurant Manager

1. JOB BRIEF
The Restaurant Cashier is responsible for processing customer transactions,
managing cash registers, and providing excellent customer service.

2. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
o Efficiently and accurately handle all customer transactions, including cash, credit
card, and debit card payments.
o Listen carefully to customer orders to ensure all details are correct.
o Repeat the order back to the customer to confirm accuracy before entering it into the
POS system.
o Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the menu
o Double-check each takeaway order against the receipt to ensure all items are
included. Pay
o special attention to any special instructions or modifications.
o Regularly monitor the cash drawer throughout the shift to ensure the float is
maintained at the required level.
o Greet each customer with a friendly and welcoming attitude as soon as they enter the
restaurant or approach the counter.
o Listen actively to customers’ needs and preferences to provide personalized service.
o Handle any customer complaints or issues calmly and professionally. Aim to resolve
problems quickly to ensure customer satisfaction.
o Speak clearly and confidently in English to ensure customers understand the menu
options, prices, and any special promotions.
o While proficiency in English is essential, knowledge of additional languages can be a
plus, enabling better service to a diverse customer base.
o Maintain a friendly and approachable appearance at all times. A genuine smile helps
create a welcoming atmosphere and can positively impact the customer’s dining
experience.
o Work in close cooperation with all other team members to ensure a smooth operation.

3. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
o Minimum 2 years’ experience in related field.
o Diploma in accounting, business administration or any related field.
o Good analytical and organizational skills.
o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
o Competent level of English spoken and written
o Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
o Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills.
