Chef/Kitchen (2 positions)

We’re in search of experienced and proactive chefs to join our friendly team
at our hostel in Njiro.

Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with the kitchen team to prepare weekly stocklists for
catering needs including staff meals, restaurant, and breakfast.
* Ensure weekly stocklists are fulfilled, maintaining adequate supplies of
food and kitchen cleaning products.
* Contribute ideas for simple yet tasty menu options.
* Prepare and serve breakfast daily, ensuring quality and presentation meet
our standards.
* Assist with restaurant preparation and full-service operations.
* Organize and serve staff meals daily, catering to dietary requirements and
preferences.
* Ensure necessary prep work is completed for catering on scheduled days
off.
* Work closely with housekeeping team members to assist in the kitchen and
fulfill duties on scheduled days off.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a chef or cook, with a strong understanding of
kitchen operations and food safety standards.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating excellent
organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Positive attitude and willingness to take initiative in a fast-paced
environment.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
