Job Description

Job Title: Commercial Manager

Industry Food and Beverage

Work Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Job Summary:

Take ownership of the business’s sales performance, market promotions/ events, manage and lead the commercial agenda to deliver sales volume and category targets. Work to ensure commercial target achievements and customer service delivery and local accounts management within the country, with market intelligence report on competition movements & strategy. Effective optimization of all resources and cross functionalities yielding maximum
results.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

Sales
• Ensure Target Achievement of all goals and volume budgets set.
• Analytical and insights led decision making.
• Create New Opportunities and align Group Commercial officer for support

Customer
• Plan, Organize, Co-ordinate, Control and Execute Core Work (Sales, Account
Management & Coaching).
• Track Customer Sales and take corrective action to understand Customer needs, market, and industry trends.
• Maintain customers and market historical data

Resources, Records & Presentations
• Identify, Allocate, Track & Evaluate resources to maximize sales.
• Review and analyze the data available and collected.
• Provide feedback, make presentations, and enable corrective actions.

Job Requirements

•Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

•Experience:
• 5+ years working experience in similar role in commercial.
• Excellent understanding of the industry
• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to conduct and direct research into commercial issues and products as required.
• Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
• Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressured environment.
• Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Strategic Planner on best Go-to-market models that are efficient and cost effective.
• Ability to think strategically.
• Passionate about the product / product portfolio
