Job Title: Data Analyst
Work Location: Dar es Salaam
Job Summary:
JOB OPPORTUNITIES FOR INDIAN NATIONALS TO WORK IN TANZANIA.
To analyze large sets of structured and unstructured data, applying advanced analytics techniques to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
1. Data Analysis and Modeling:
o Develop predictive models and algorithms to extract insights from large datasets.
o Validate model performance through rigorous statistical analysis and testing.
2. Data Mining and Extraction:
o Implement data mining techniques to identify trends, patterns, and correlations within big data sets.
o Design and construct data architecture and pipelines for efficient data extraction and preprocessing.
3. Visualization and Reporting:
o Create dynamic and interactive data visualizations to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.
o Develop automated reporting systems for regular distribution of key metrics and insights.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration:
o Work closely with different departments to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions.
o Facilitate data literacy and best practices across the organization.
5. Innovation and Research:
o Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data science and machine learning.
o Propose and pilot new projects that leverage data to drive innovation and strategic decisions.
Job Requirements
•Education:
• Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
•Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in similar field.
• Proven experience as a Data Scientist, with a portfolio of relevant projects.
•Technical Skills:
• Strong experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala.
• Proficient in using data science and visualization tools (e.g., TensorFlow, Tableau).
• Experience with Power BI
•Knowledge:
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and visualization skills to articulate findings to both
technical and non-technical audiences.
