Overview
Kampala International University in Tanzania (KIUT) is a private university fully registered with the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU). It is located in Gongo la Mboto, Dar es Salaam, approximately 6.3 km from Julius Nyerere International Airport.
KIUT is seeking to attract qualified individuals for the following position in the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (ICT):
Qualifications and Requirements
(i) Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership in the formulation and implementation of ICT strategies.
- Ensure adherence to ICT policies and standards.
- Oversee ICT programs and activities.
- Coordinate systems development, implementation, and maintenance.
- Prepare the ICT budget and procurement plans.
- Supervise and manage ICT projects within planned timelines and budget projections.
- Prepare work plans, conduct staff performance appraisals, and submit performance reports.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
(ii) Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Certification in Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified Systems Developer (MCSD), or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
- At least 5 years of management-level experience.
(iii) Key Competencies, Skills, and Attitudes;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (effective communication, writing, presentation, and reporting).
- Proven management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Strong analytical skills.
