We’re looking for an experienced electrician to work with us. We need someone who is reliable and detail-oriented, and who has a strong work ethic.
Electrician Duties:
• Perform general electrical work.
• Install, maintain, and repair wiring, outlets, fixtures, and appliances.
• Establish and maintain a safe work environment.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, diagrams, or schematics.
• Estimate material, equipment, or labor costs.
• Establish and maintain schedules.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting.
• Perform calculations and measurements.
• Maintain records.
• Supervise or train other workers.
• Other duties as assigned.
Electrician Responsibilities:
• Perform electrical construction tasks, including the installation of electrical components and equipment, such as wiring, switches, conduits, and terminating cables; install wiring and lighting systems.
• Perform electrical installation in new buildings, or in existing buildings or industry facilities.
• Perform basic electrical maintenance tasks.
• Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic functions.
• Install components of electrical systems, such as circuit breakers, transformers, and other protective devices.
• Install, test, and maintain electrical equipment, such as pumps, motors, generators, compressors, and transformers.
• Install and repair electrical wiring.
• Install and maintain lighting fixtures, lighting controls, and electrical systems.
• Provide electrical engineering expertise regarding electrical installation, equipment, and systems.
• Install and maintain electrical systems in industrial facilities.
• Maintain electrical equipment and wiring, such as circuit breakers, transformers, switches, and lamps.
Requirements And Skills:
• VETA-trained electrician
• 8+ years’ proven experience in electrical repair and installation.
• Knowledge of electrical code requirements.
• Knowledge of voltage and amperage requirements, electrical testing, and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of safety practices required.
