Its well-located depot site includes 9 acres of paved yard; with the capacity to store 3800 Twenty Foot equivalent units (TEUS) stacked 5 high. Job Title: Finance Manager

Job Summary:

The Financial Management Crew plays a crucial role in our company, responsible for managing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting activities to ensure the financial health and compliance of the organization. The Finance Manager in particular will be responsible for ensuring that all financial operations are conducted smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves managing a team of accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing team, financial controller while ensuring payment are done on time and with high level of standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Planning and Analysis:
  • Developing and executing financial strategies and plans in alignment with the company’s objectives
  • Conduct financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to support business decisions.
  1. Budget Management:
  • Managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
  • Track budget variances and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory payments and adherence to financial regulations.
  1. Accounting and Financial Reporting:
  • Oversee day-to-day, weekly, monthly and yearly accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards.
  1. Cash Flow Management:
  • Manage cash flow and working capital to meet operational needs.
  • Supervision of billing processes, review of general ledgers, and timely preparation of accurate financial reports.
  • Oversight and management of financial operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash flow, and reconciliation.
  1. Audit and Compliance:
  • Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and other statutory requirements. – Implement and maintain effective internal controls.
  1. Financial Risk Management:
  • Overseeing cash flow management, and financial risk assessment.
  • Monitor market trends and economic indicators to anticipate potential risks.
  • Establishing relevant controls with procedure
  • Advising on cost cutting measures and increase compliance and profit.
  1. Team Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Ensure adequate training for staff and ensure job description are clearly defined and well allocated.
  • Collaborating with other departments to support financial aspects of strategic initiatives and business development.
  1. Cost Control and Efficiency in Operations:
  • Monitor logistics-related costs, including transportation, fuel, and warehousing expenses.
  • Implement cost-saving measures related to supply chain operations, ensuring profitability and efficiency.
  • Analyze and control operational costs unique to the logistics sector, such as vehicle maintenance and route optimization.
    1. Fleet and Asset Management Accounting:
  • Manage the financial aspects of fleet operations, including vehicle leasing, depreciation, maintenance, and insurance costs.
  • Ensure accurate asset accounting and timely reporting on fleet-related expenses and investments.
  1. Vendor and Supplier Management:
  • Oversee financial agreements and negotiations with key suppliers and logistics service providers.
  • Manage the timely and accurate payment of vendors, ensuring good relationships while optimizing cash flow.
  1. Technology and Systems Implementation:

–     Manage the financial aspects of implementing and maintaining logistics and fleet management systems, ensuring they align with overall company objectives and provide accurate data for financial reporting.

  1. Any other job assigned General manager & Director

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
  • Proven experience 5+ in transport and financial management, preferably in ICD, CFS setting.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and budgeting processes.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
