Airtel Tanzania PLC wishes to recruit for a Head of Products & Partnership. The role reports to the Head of Public Sector Sales in Business Enterprise Department. The Incumbent will be responsible for the identification, planning, design, development and testing of innovative Airtel Money products across all business portfolios through meaning full partnerships to drive value to the Airtel customers. Also supervise portfolio managers in the management of partner relationships, product development, and utilization.
The Role Holder duties will include but not limited to:
1.Supervise the Airtel Money Client relationship management in the following segments
Loans, Savings, IMT, Insurance, Banks
- Directly supervise all key account managers assigned to the various product portfolio. Including partner acquisition, key commercial KPIs, and product development road map.
- Directly supervise the product development and UAT and testing team.
- Identify all existing clients in the assigned segments
- Maintain an up-to-date client database of all client in the assigned segment
- Be fully responsible for client usage and retention in the assigned segment
- Have a comprehensive understanding of all client’s business processes and needs to propose the best airtel money business solutions for each client
- Own and maintain the client relationship with Airtel Money to ensure optimization of the business opportunity for Airtel money with the client
- Be the first point of escalation for all client queries and support requests in the assigned segment
- Own and track all client queries and support requests and escalations in the assigned segment till they are resolved satisfactorily and communicate nature of resolution to the client.
- Manage all communications, client engagements and meetings with clients in the assigned segment.
2.Drive key commercial KPIs and results in the loans, Savings and Insurance portfolios .
- Ensure growth of product adoption by driving usage, growth of unique users, value transacted and revenue in the assigned portfolios.
- Identify the airtel money products consumed by the existing client base in the assigned segment and ensure optimal usage of the said products to maximize revenue.
- Identify cross selling and up selling opportunities in the assigned client base to maximize revenue generated from the existing base.
- Monitor consumption and revenue growth trends so as to inform the business revenue growth plan for assigned segment.
- Conduct Daily, weekly, Monthly reviews to track and monitor performance against business targets.
- Implement any remedial/ corrective actions in case of any revenue performance shortfalls.
- Coordinate with Usage & Retention team to develop initiatives to increase usage of corporate business products and services in assigned segment
3.Manage the Ecosystem development and enhancement road map
- Research and benchmark financial services in the region to identify opportunities to enhance the AM ecosystem
- Identify, design and implement products and services to ensure AM ecosystem is best in class to offer multiple use cases, value and exceptional CX to AM customers
- Working with the Airtel group and internal stakeholders, design and propose a 5 year AM ecosystem road map, recommend revenue and customer experience impacting products and services
4.Liaison of the IT and Business teams and offer technical consultation to the business and CX teams
- Clearly capture and define all business team’s and partner IT change requirements.
- Liaise with IT to ensure user change requirements are well understood, and ensure all changes are as per approved CRs and user requirements definition.
- Work with IT in prioritization of products and services to be developed
- Manage and be accountable for the delivery of the integrations, CR and product development pipeline and trackers
- Support the business team to fully understand any IT requirements and specifications as communicated by IT from time to time.
- Coordinate the business team for all UATs, sanity tests and go live activities
- Support Business team with client technical discussion and needs assessment engagements.
5.Reporting and other duties.
- Prepare timely management reports highlighting performance against set business KRAs
- Maintain clear commercial reports, and product trackers.
- Produce and deliver required reports for the business on demand.
- Other duties as may be assigned by the line manager from time to time
Academic and Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors in computer science
- MBA and Project management Certification are an added advantage
- 7-year experience in product development and marketing
- Experience from Banking, Financial Services and Insurance in Sales or Business Development
- Able to handle , prioritize, multiple project simultaneously
- Able to operate as matrix manager in coordinating people and technical resources from
multiple areas of the company
