- About the Opportunity/ Position Summary
We are seeking capable Human Resources Executives to join our team in our Tanzania (Arusha) office. As a successful candidate, you will be reporting to the Country Manager, this position role will be to provide support for the work of the HR and Admin department by performing a variety of tasks. Your primary duty will be to collect and manage all data of the business’ employees but you will also be involved in the recruiting, hiring, and other administrative tasks.
2.1. Duties and Responsibilities
- Employee Management:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
- Facilitate the on boarding and off boarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for employees.
- Coordinate employee engagement initiatives and activities to promote a positive work culture.
- Conduct regular check-ins and performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and support for professional growth.
- HR Administration:
- Manage HR documentation and maintain accurate employee records.
- Oversee compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as legal requirements.
- Handle employee benefits administration, including enrolment and queries.
- Prepare and analyse HR reports related to attendance, turnover, and other metrics.
- Ensure HR compliance with the laws and regulations.
- Recruitment Support:
- Assist in the recruitment process, including job posting, screening, and scheduling interviews.
- Coordinate with hiring managers to ensure a seamless candidate experience.
- Participate in job fairs and other recruitment events as needed.
- Employee Relations:
- Address employee relations issues and conduct investigations when necessary.
- Mediate conflicts and provide guidance to resolve issues effectively.
- Implement HR programs and initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
Office Administration
- In charge of the office administrative, function.
- Oversee the front office reception, ensure visitors are attended to, and ensure the reception area is always manned.
- Oversee the general maintenance of offices and report repairs to the Country Manager.
- Oversee office materials such as stationery, cleaning, and kitchen requisitions, and monitor and control stock supply.
- Ensure administration items such as furniture, office keys, lights, etc are in good working condition at all times.
- Distribute and control all office materials and reconcile them monthly i.e. stationery, furniture, staff uniforms etc.
- Monitor compliance e.g. licenses and follow up for renewal, OSH.
- Qualifications
Ø Proven experience as an HR Executive or HR Administrator with a focus on employee management and administration. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a HR executive role or its equivalent, experience in a Tour firm will be an added advantage.
Ø Higher Diploma in HR is mandatory or higher qualification. Professional HR membership will be an added advantage
Ø Integrity and confidentiality is mandatory for the role.
Ø Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite and the Internet.
Ø Professional and proactive demeanour.
Ø Up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
Ø Proficiency in ICT including HRMIS, ERP;
Ø Basic skills in counselling & team building
Ø Advanced analytical & problem solving skills;
Ø Excellent listening ability and patience in dealing with employees;
