Role Summary

The Inverter Team Leader is responsible for driving solar inverter sales and managing a high-performing network of commission-based agents. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, field execution, and strategic leadership to expand market reach and ensure strong financial performance (repayments) within the device financing landscape.


Key Responsibilities

1. Agent Acquisition & Development

  • Recruitment: Identify and certify agents from internal solar pools and external sources (technicians/salespeople).

  • Training: Conduct technical and sales training to ensure agents meet certification standards.

  • Retention: Maintain a robust agent base aligned with quarterly growth goals.

2. Sales & Productivity

  • Targets: Meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly unit sales goals.

  • Performance: Monitor and improve average monthly agent productivity.

  • Activations: Organize and lead market-level sales activities and roadshows.

3. Portfolio & Collection Management

  • Repayment: Train agents on collection techniques to ensure healthy portfolio performance.

  • Risk Mitigation: Track First Payment Default (FPD) and “At Risk” accounts; assist agents in resolution.

  • Repossessions: Oversee the process for inverter account repossessions when necessary.

4. Marketing & Customer Experience

  • Digital: Develop social media campaigns to drive lead generation.

  • Field Marketing: Execute targeted activations in high-traffic areas (malls, gated communities).

  • Feedback: Maintain a client feedback dashboard to improve satisfaction and coordinate with the After-Sales team on warranties.

5. Operations & Team Leadership

  • Mentorship: Set clear goals and promote team well-being and motivation.

  • Inventory: Ensure agents have sufficient stock while complying with inventory policies.

  • Field Presence: Execute daily agent visits with defined route plans (5 days/week in the field).


Candidate Profile

Requirement Description
Education Degree in Engineering or a related field from a reputable university.
Experience Minimum 4 years in inverter sales or the renewable energy sector.
Technical Skill Deep knowledge of solar PV systems; EPRA licensing is a major plus.
Soft Skills Strong leadership, problem-solving, and “people-person” skills.
Digital Literacy Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
Mobility Willingness to travel extensively (80% field-based).
