Qualified Tanzanians are invited to apply for the following vacant positions at the SUA-APOPO Rodent Research Project. Applicants must submit the following:

POSITION: Laboratory Technician II – 2 Posts, Moshi

Position Summary:
The Laboratory Technician will support the TB Laboratory Unit by performing routine laboratory activities.

 Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • Diploma in Laboratory Science or Laboratory Technology
  • Experience in a TB Laboratory
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sample collection, preparation, and storage
  • Smear preparation and examination
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and inventory
  • Ensure laboratory biosafety regulations are followed

Age: Not above 45 years old

Additional Information:

Salary: As per Treasury Registrar’s Circular No. 6 of 2022
Terms of Contract: 1-year contract (includes a 6-month probation period), renewable based on performance and funding
