LABORATORY TECHNICIAN SUPERVISOR

Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Industry: Manufacturing

Responsibilities

•  Inspect and test all incoming raw materials, work-in-progress, finished goods and inventory.
• Audit storage conditions in the warehouses and production area to safe-guard product quality.
• Maintain accurate and up to date records of raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods.
• Communicate promptly any issues to Production Supervisor and Factory Manager and assist in solving batch-specific problems.
• Conduct daily calibration checks of lab equipment and conduct basic maintenance of the lab equipment.
• Recommend repairs and maintenance of testing equipment to ensure functionality, accuracy and compliance.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and food safety standards as required by Tanzanian laws.

Requirements

•  Qualification in Food Science, Laboratory Science or related
• Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in Food/Feed manufacturing environment.
• At least one years of relevant experience as laboratory supervisor is required.
• Excellent knowledge of the feed-mill products.
• Experienced with analysis of raw material, and finished products
