Job Summary

The Lead Generator is responsible for achieving agreed sales targets in line with the bank’s business objectives through proactive selling of retail banking lending and deposit products. The role requires providing exceptional customer service while driving business growth and ensuring compliance with operational and regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities

1. Sales to Retail Customers

  • Deliver exceptional sales performance by identifying customer needs and promoting NBC’s consumer lending and deposit products.
  • Generate and convert quality leads through proactive engagement and effective follow-up.
  • Participate in sales campaigns to achieve specific business targets.
  • Maintain personal sales performance records for management reporting.
  • Complete account opening and loan documentation accurately and in line with NBC policies before submission for processing.
  • Perform financial analyses and statement reviews for loan applicants; communicate decisions to customers and report denials to the Line Manager daily.
  • Ensure accuracy of customer documents and applications.
  • Adhere to NBC’s operational risk and compliance standards, including Health & Safety, KYC, and Anti-Money Laundering regulations.

2. Operational Rigour and KYC Compliance

  • Ensure full accuracy and quality of all account and loan documentation submitted.
  • Uphold operational excellence to achieve a “green” audit rating.
  • Follow the retail end-to-end account opening process, ensuring all new accounts are authorized and KYC compliant.
  • Escalate unresolved or delayed KYC issues to the Line Manager promptly.
  • Comply with all NBC operational risk, rigour, and security standards.

3. Customer Service Excellence

  • Refer customer queries outside personal portfolio to appropriate teams or departments.
  • Notify customers immediately upon loan approval and encourage prompt drawdowns.
  • Assist in opening scheme loan accounts referred by Scheme Loan Relationship Managers.

4. Team Contribution and Personal Development

  • Share knowledge and experience with fellow Lead Generators to foster teamwork and excellence.
  • Deputize for the Line Manager when required.
  • Set and agree on annual performance objectives and specific sales targets with the Team Leader.
  • Pursue continuous professional development through training and skill enhancement programs.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Business, Commerce, or Management Studies.

Experience & Competencies:
