M-Pesa Pricing Specialist Job Vacancy at Vodacom Tanzania Plc

What You’ll Do

Role purpose:

  • Manage policy and procedures for imposition of fees and charges on financial products and services in line with business strategy and regulatory requirements
  • Support the Product teams on pricing decisions and business cases to ensure the best outcomes for the customers and the business
  • Drive commercial insights on pricing and provide direction on how these can be acted upon across the commercial teams and the management

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

  • Overall Pricing strategy
  • Perform assessment and analysis of the pricing strategy for all financial products & services to drive revenue and customers
  • Conduct market intelligence to track competitor’s pricing strategy and performance in the market
  • Support strategic planning and any commercial initiatives
  • Internal and external reporting
  • Defining business requirements on pricing, preparation and sharing of the reports/insights/Dashboards daily, weekly, monthly, and whenever required
  • Analyse the business impact of all new pricing propositions launched, so that a corrective action / learning can be taken for future
  • Developing new pricing models to support business decisions
  • Improve internal and external reporting processes on pricing
  • Understanding and complying to regulatory reporting requirements/Guidelines on imposition of Fees & Charges
  • Stakeholder support
  • Support the Senior management, Product/Commercial teams, Pricing, Compliance on pricing decisions
  • Drive implementation of new fees and charges in alignment with Product teams, Finance, Compliance
  • Support internal and external Auditors on Pricing
  • Ensuring publishing of Customer & Business Fees & charges across the channels as stipulated by the regulatory guidelines

  • Timely submission of clear, accurate and complete insights on Pricing
  • Market and consumer insights
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Stakeholders’ satisfaction

Core Competencies, Knowledge, And Experience

  • Excellent analytical and logical reasoning skills translated from market insights
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to anticipate customer, competitor and market dynamics
  • Able to challenge the status quo

Must have technical/professional qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Mathematics or Actuarial Science, Statistics or Information Technology or equivalent
  • Good knowledge on Data science, advanced Excel skills and knowledge in BI tools
  • Programming languages like SQL, Oracle & Python
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in handling large dataset would be advantageous
