Manager Projects Origination and Formulation Job Vacancy at CRDB Bank Plc

The job holder will support CRDB Bank capacity to engage in green financing/ climate financing to be able to acquire various available funding opportunities within the technical field of climate change mitigation and adaption.

• Lead the origination and formulation of concept notes and funding proposals that align with CRDB Bank’s strategic objectives and meet the requirements of various funders, including the GCF.
• Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to identify and evaluate potential sustainable financing projects.
• Develop robust financial models and risk assessments to support project feasibility and sustainability.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including technical experts, to ensure project proposals are technically sound and meet all relevant environmental and social standards.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the evolving landscape of climate finance and green financing, including best practices and emerging trends.
• Represent CRDB Bank in relevant industry events and engage with key stakeholders to promote the Bank’s sustainable finance initiatives.

• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, banking, accountancy, economics or a related appropriate field on Climate Change or ESG/ Climate Finance certification etc.
• Minimum of 4 years experience with exposure in formulating and managing climate change related programs and projects.
• A high degree of professional competence, administrative capabilities, and initiative in the general organization and management of climate finance, project management, ESG/Climate Finance etc.
• Knowledge environmental and social management system and IFC Performance Standards (PS 1 to 8) application.
• Ability to analyse both the risk and opportunity of climate finance, strategize, select the best course of action, and deliver thedesired outcomes.
• Report writing and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines and to cope under pressure.
• Ability to engage and handle relationships with various stakeholders and business holders.
• Project Management certification
• Climate Change Adaptation and mitigation certification.
• ESG/ Climate Finance certification etc.
