Position: Marketing Officer

Role Summary:
The Marketing Officer will be responsible to contribute to the development of marketing strategies by designing and implementing marketing plans for Simusolar Products, conducting market research, Identifies areas for improvement in product offerings, sales tactics, marketing strategy, promotional activities and to support any marketing efforts with grant and development partners.
The Opportunity: Simusolar is a rapidly growing company equipment and financing. The Marketing Officer will be joining an impactful organization with potential to grow within the company as it expands within Tanzania and internationally. This role provides exposure to the fast-growing asset financing space.
Location: This position is based in Dar es Salaam, though travel will be required to understand the business, partners and the market.
Reporting: This position reports directly to the to Co-CEO. There will also be significant exposure, interaction and collaboration with other departments, including: Hardware, Engineering, Field Service, Credit, Customer Care, Operations, Marketing and Sales & Finance.
Pay: Competitive Compensation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Building brand awareness and generating leads while managing internal and external marketing campaigns and programs.
- Building, implementing and enhancing national marketing initiatives to maximize outreach and sales of our products.
- Developing insights on marketing campaigns to assess performance against goals.
- Overseeing the production of advertisements, promotional materials and mail campaigns and approve marketing material, from website banners to hard copy brochures and case studies
- Reducing marketing costs by streamlining marketing roles, leveraging communications materials, monitoring budgets, and developing protocol.
- Collaborating with Sales Management to create best practices, marketing initiatives and media positioning for vertical markets.
- Handling all the ATL and BTL activities in the market.
- Manage all Marketing Campaigns on Social Media
- Provide regular reports on performance of key performance indicators.
- Monitor the marketing budget on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis and provide updates.
- Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies and vendors
- Collaborating with different teams such as sales, hardware customer care, etc.
- Regular meeting with customers to confirm customer satisfaction
Minimum Requirements
- 3 years’ work experience in Equipment sales, FMCG, Telecommunication, Insurance, Financial Services or related industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or any related field.
- Managed portfolio of corporate customers;
- Worked in key account management and sales.
- Solid knowledge of market research techniques
- Thorough knowledge of social media and web analytics
Prerequisites:
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
- Good organization and planning skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good Presentation & Negotiation Skills
- Fluent in Kiswahili and English.
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Office Products
