Taifa Gas Tanzania Limited (TAIFA GAS) started as Mihan Gas Company Limited (MIHAN GAS). The company was incorporated in the United Republic of Tanzania in 2005 with certificate of incorporation number 52508, as a limited company under the Companies Ordinance (Cap 212), The Company spent two years in its initial business startup investment in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and eventually commenced business in 2008. In 2017, the company was acquired by new shareholders and subsequently, in 2019, the company name changed from Mihan Gas Company Limited to Taifa Gas Company Limited to reflect company’s new Vision and Mission. Taifa Gas Tanzania Limited operates under Taifa Gas and Mihan Gas brands as observed through its LPG cylinders and other related equipment.
Taifa Gas has other 20 operating depots in Mwanza, Mbeya, Moshi, Dodoma, Singida, Morogoro, Iringa, Kahama, Kigoma, Songea, Njombe, Manyara, Bukoba, Geita, Tabora, Musoma, Arusha, Sumbawanga, Tanga and Shinyanga. Two depots Mwanga and Lindi are in final stages of construction.

POSITION
MECHANICAL ENGINEER (KTE)
WORKING STATION: KIGAMBONI, DAR ES SALAAM, TANZANIA
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in mechanical projects, especially piping with a focus on Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).
- In-depth knowledge of LPG industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Strong proficiency in piping design software and AutoCAD.
- A professional engineer Registered with Engineer’s registration board – ERB.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- Certification in relevant safety standards and procedures.
- Oral and written communication skills to make information easy to understand for stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Extremely detail-oriented.
- Able to work under pressure environment.
