1. Senior Mining Engineer (1 Position)

Reports to: Mining Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop mine designs and short-to-medium-term production plans.

• Mentor national and junior Mining Engineers.

• Develop designs for pits, stage/push-backs, haul roads, ROM pads, and WRDs.

• Translate LOMP outputs into 1-5 year tactical plans and annual budgets.

• Optimize Drill & Blast patterns and charge designs with contractors.

• Coordinate with Mine Geology for grade control and stockpile management.

Qualifications:

• BSc in Mining Engineering or equivalent.

• Minimum 7 years’ open-pit mine production and planning experience.

• Valid driver’s licence and necessary site certifications.

2. Drill & Blast Engineer (2 Positions)

Reports to: Senior Mining Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute drill and blast activities safely according to the Mining Department Management Plan (MMP).

• Design patterns, charge plans, and initiation sequences.

• Monitor fragmentation, vibration, noise, flyrock, and dust.

• Act as the responsible engineer for explosives magazines and legal compliance.

• Analyze KPIs (cost per metre, powder factor, and fragmentation).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.

• Tanzanian blasting certification (Mandatory).

• 3-7 years’ experience in open-pit drill and blast (Gold/Hard-rock preferred).

• Experience with blast software (BlastMap, SHOTPlus, Vulcan, or Minesight).

3. Geotech Engineer (2 Positions)

Reports to: Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement slope stability management and the Ground Control Management Plan (GCMP).

• Perform day-to-day geotechnical monitoring, mapping, and data analysis.

• Advise on the design and maintenance of pit walls, haul roads, and waste rock dumps.

• Manage instrumentation data (prism surveys, radar, etc.).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical, Geological, or Mining Engineering.

• 3-5 years’ experience in open-pit geotechnical engineering.

• Eligibility for professional registration (Preferred).

4. Mining Engineers (2 Positions)

Reports to: Senior Mining Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare short-term mine plans, pit designs, and production schedules.

• Issue dig plans, loading plans, and haulage instructions.

• Track plan vs. actual performance (tonnes, BCM, fleet productivity).

• Collect and validate production data for monthly reporting.

Qualifications:

• BSc in Mining Engineering or related technical degree.

• At least 3 years of open-pit experience.

• Knowledge of CAD, GIS, and mine scheduling software.

5. Senior Mine Geologist (3 Positions)

Reports to: Mine Geology Superintendent

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily Grade Control (GC) activities, block modelling, and wireframing.

• Supervise RC grade control drilling and manage sampling/logging.

• Accountable for NAF/PAF criteria and material routing to waste rock dumps.

• Lead operational reconciliation (GC model vs. mined vs. plant feed).

• Mentor Junior Geologists and Technicians.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Geological Engineering.

• 7+ years’ experience in open-pit mine geology and grade control (Gold/Base metals).

• Proficiency with Micromine and AcQuire.

6. Mine Geologist (3 Positions)

Reports to: Senior Mine Geologist

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct day-to-day pit mapping and sampling.

• Supervise RC grade control drilling and log samples.

• Prepare daily dig mark-ups and ore/waste instructions for contractors.

• Assist in ROM and stockpile management (grade and oxidation domains).

Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma in Geology/Geological Engineering.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in mine operations (Open-pit gold preferred).

• Knowledge of Micromine (or similar 3D package) is an advantage.
