Job Title:        Officer – Information  and Communication Technology (1)

Reports To:    Senior Officer-  Information and Communication Technology

Duty Station: HQ – Dar es Salaam

Main Purpose of the Job (Job Summary)

Responsible for implementation of ICT strategic planning, development of applications, system administrator governance, ICT support for automation/ digitization and innovations PASS TRUST and subsidiaries.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and ensure timely data backup  is done for all critical systems.
• Train users on new and existing systems to enhance  their efficiency.
• Configure new equipment e.g. personal computers, printers, modems, laptops, Network devices 1etc.
• Work with ICT team to develop and manage Artificial Intelligence tools
• Evaluate, Implement, an9 ma nag, the best practice for ICT systems security and Governance.
• Ensure that there is data synchronizing between DR Site and production site.
• Provide support on PASS systems by liaising with vendors to resolve business issues pertaining PASS Trust.
• Ensure a secure environment for equipment and safe operation in PASS environment.
• Ensure compliance and adherence to purchase of system equipment, machinery and software as per terms, conditions and warranties.
• Advice team for innovations and acquisition of system hardware, software, machinery, equipment, and services.
• Manage and ensure critical systems and all peripheral systems are up and running at an acceptable threshold to support business and operations.
• Ensure safe and proper control of access to the Server Room and Disaster Recovery Site.
• Ensure  proper custody of system  data  logs,  security logs,  and CCTV footage.
• Ensure Server room,  PASS physical security gadgets are properly  maintained, monitored  and comply with  PASS  Physical Security Policy.
• Perform  any other duty that you may be assigned.

Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information communication technology or any other related disciplines.
• Professional IT Certification will be an added advantage.

Experience & Skills

• Minimum  Two (2) years’ demonstrated experience  in the field
• Knowledge in Al, including programming, data analysis, and potentially Al ethics, to effectively integrate Al into ICT systems and workflows will be an added advantage

• Knowledge in SQL commands and scripts will be an added advantage
• Experience in support of Core Systems will be an added advantage
• High level skills and knowledge working in virtualized  Microsoft Server environment and Linux
• High level skills and knowledge  of networks in a complex environment
• Help desk skills with an emphasis on customer service and user traububg
• Experience in administration of servers
• Experience in supporting end users
• High level skills and knowledge  of networks in a complex environment.

• Knowledge of current trends and developments in information and communication technology.
