Job title: Gastroentologist Physician(1 post)
Job Description:
We are looking for specialized candidate with good interpersonal skills for the
position of a gastroenterologist, who will be responsible for consulting and
diagnosing patients, inspecting internal organs through endoscopic procedures,
Academic & Professional Qualifications
• Medical Degree (MD/MBBS) from a recognized medical school.
• Postgraduate specialization in Gastroenterology (Master’s or Fellowship in gastroenterology, or equivalent board certification).
• Valid medical license to practice in your country (issued by the national medical council/board).
• Registration with the relevant professional council (e.g., Medical Council of Tanzania for your location).
• Continuous medical education (CME) credits in gastroenterology.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) & Infection control and patient safety training.
Skills & Experience
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in gastroenterology practice (can include residency and fellowship).
• Proven expertise in diagnosing and managing gastrointestinal diseases, including gastroenteritis, ulcers, inflammatory bowel disease, and liver conditions.
• Good knowledge of nutrition and hydration management in gastroenteritis patients.
• Exposure to emergency gastroenterology cases & Competence in infection prevention and control.
• Experience in endoscopic procedures (gastroscopy, colonoscopy) & Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
