CPP is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Delay Analysis Engineer to support project control, claims, and delay resolution across our long-distance crude oil pipeline project. If you’re a seasoned professional with a forensic mindset and deep knowledge of delay methodologies, this is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in one of Africa’s largest energy infrastructure initiatives.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities
🔸 Conduct forensic schedule analysis and delay investigations across various phases (design, procurement, construction, commissioning).
🔸 Lead preparation of Extension of Time (EOT) claims and disruption analyses using industry-standard techniques.
🔸 Develop delay attribution reports identifying root causes and responsibilities (Employer vs. Contractor).
🔸 Collaborate with project teams, legal advisors, and stakeholders on dispute resolution and risk mitigation.

👀 What We’re Looking For

🎓 Experience & Qualifications:
🔸 Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
🔸 Minimum 8 years in project controls, scheduling, or delay analysis within oil & gas pipeline projects.
🔸 Prior involvement in international EPC projects preferred.
🧠 Technical & Analytical Skills
🔸 Proficiency in Primavera P6, Tilos, and Excel-based delay quantification.
🔸 Strong command of Time Impact Analysis (TIA), As-Planned vs. As-Built, and Window Analysis methodologies.
🔸 Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and delay-related clauses.
🔸 Ability to identify critical path disruptions and assess concurrent delays.
📘 Industry & Legal Insight
🔸 Understanding of pipeline-specific challenges (land access, permitting, environmental compliance).
🔸 Knowledge of AACE Recommended Practices and SCL Protocol.
🤝 Soft Skills & Collaboration
🔸 Strong written and verbal communication for interfacing with engineers, legal teams, and senior management.
🔸 Ability to present findings clearly in both technical and executive-level formats.
🔸 Willingness to travel to project sites for field verification and coordination.

💼 Preferred Attributes
🔸 Experience supporting dispute resolution, arbitration, or litigation.
