POST: RADIOGRAPHER II – 1 POST EMPLOYER: KIUMA COMMUNITY HOSPITAL

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Diploma in Radiography from any recognized Institution. Must be enrolled in the register of Medical Radiology and imaging Professionals as a Radiographer.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform radiographic examinations, including X-rays and specialized imaging.
- Collaborate with physicians and other medical staff to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Maintain and operate radiologic equipment with the utmost care and precision.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures and maintain accurate records and patient information.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and best practices.
- Assess the quality of radiographic images to ensure accuracy
- Explain procedures to patients, addressing their concerns and ensuring cooperation.
- Maintain and clean radiologic equipment, following safety protocols
- Continuously monitor and adapt to new technology and advancements in radiography.
- Evaluate images for signs of abnormalities and prepare them for interpretation by radiologists.
- Providing technical advice on radiation in the unit.
- Preparing contrast media and chemicals for x-rays.
- Performing any other duties related to his/her work as assigned by his/her superior.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in Radiography.
- Background in the health industry is a prerequisite.
- Self-motivated, capable of working independently and flexible to work within an open budget.
- Ability to accurately position patients for various radiographic procedures.
- Effective communication with patients, explaining procedures, and addressing concerns.
- Skill in using imaging software and other technical tools
- Keen attention to detail for accurate diagnostic images.
- Upholding ethical standards, patient confidentiality, and safety in radiologic procedures.
