Job Title: Recovery Officer

Location: Dar es salaam – Tanzania

Key Responsibilities:

     Loan Recovery Management: Manage a portfolio of overdue loans and ensure the timely collection of payments.

     Client Engagement: Contact clients to remind them of overdue payments, negotiate repayment schedules, and provide guidance on loan repayment options.

     Follow-Up: Perform follow-up actions through calls, emails, and in-person visits to ensure adherence to agreed-upon repayment terms.

     Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all communications, negotiations, and actions taken with clients.

     Compliance: Ensure that all recovery activities comply with company policies, relevant laws, and ethical standards.

          Report: Prepare regular reports on recovery progress and recommend actions to management

to minimize loan defaults.

     Customer Relations: Maintain positive relationships with clients, demonstrating empathy and professionalism throughout the recovery process.

          Dispute Resolution: Handle customer disputes and escalate unresolved issues to

management when necessary.

Requirements:

     Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in loan recovery or debt collection, preferably in the Microfinance or financial services sector.

          Skills: Strong negotiation skills, communication skills, and problem-solving skills.

     Knowledge: Understanding of Microfinance products, loan recovery techniques, and relevant regulatory frameworks.

     Education: A degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field is preferred.

    Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently. Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to customer service.
