Job Title: Rigger

Reporting Line Manager: Regional Operations Manager

Department: Project

The candidate filling this role is expected to be capable of executing Projects with various NEWL Clients.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Microwave links installation, troubleshooting and  replacement of faulty spares
  • RF antenna installation, troubleshooting and  replacement of faulty  spares
  • RRH and  RF modules installation, troubleshooting and  replacement of faulty modules
  • Monthly preventive maintenance
  • Assist and  perform all duties assigned to him/her by the  field engineer or Line manager
  • Bees’ removal from sites
  • Inspecting and  conducting ATP for both  microwave links and  RAN equipment
  • SHEQ Compliance on all Projects
  • Reporting any identified  Near miss,  Hazards and  SHEQ Non-conformities to NEWL SHEQ Manager
  • To report at least  one  (1) near  miss and  one  (1) hazard each  month
  • To ensure no planned work is undertaken without (Field Level Risk Assessment) preparation and  communication
  • To report any incident/property damage within 24hrs
  • Shall cooperate with SHEQ team during  occupation incidents and accidents reporting and  investigation once  required

Qualification, Skills & Work Experience:

  • Certified & Valid Working at Height  Certificate from Gravity
  • Valid Driving license, Defensive and  4×4 certificates from Top Gear are an added advantage
  • Excellent  verbal  and  written communication skills, including  ability to effectively  communicate with internal and  external customers
  • Must be able  to work under pressure and  meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive  attitude and  providing  exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and  to carry  out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given,  prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Applicant must  be ready  to work at any part/region within Tanzania
