As we expand our operations, we are seeking an experienced Safari / Operations Consultant with expertise in both aspects of the safari and holiday industry.
Job Summary: As the Safari / Operations Consultant at Lifestyle Safaris, you will be responsible for leveraging your extensive knowledge of the safari industry to create exceptional travel experiences for our clients. In addition to leading the Safari Consultant team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing basic operations to ensure the smooth execution of our safari offerings.
- Safari Consultation:
- Engage with clients to understand their preferences, interests, and travel requirements.
- Design and tailor bespoke safari itineraries that align with client expectations and company standards.
- Provide expert advice on destinations, accommodations, and activities.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and inspire the Safari Consultant team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team members’ knowledge and skills.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team culture.
- Operations Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of safari activities, ensuring seamless execution.
- Coordinate with lodges, camps, and transportation partners to secure bookings and manage logistics.
- Meet guests on arrival and departure, providing briefings and debriefings.
- Keep proper records of documents, reservations, and maintain a filing system per booking.
- Follow up on guest testimonials post-trip.
- Maintain a proper CRM system for effective guest relationship management.
- Maintain daily reports between guests, guides and office
- Client Communication:
- Act as a point of contact for high-profile clients and address any concerns or special requests.
- Ensure clear and timely communication throughout the travel planning and execution process.
- Quality Assurance:
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of safari experiences to maintain high standards.
- Implement improvements based on client feedback and industry best practices.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the safari and travel industry.
- Proven track record in sales, with experience in designing and selling customized safari itineraries.
- Strong leadership skills with previous experience managing a team.
- In-depth knowledge of safari destinations, lodges, and activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Familiarity with basic operations within the safari industry.
- Experience in meeting guests on arrival and departure, conducting briefings and debriefings.
- Strong organizational skills, including record-keeping and maintaining a filing system.
- Proven ability to follow up on guest testimonials and maintain a comprehensive CRM system.
