Job Summary

The Sales and Reservation Officer is responsible for promoting and selling air tickets, company travel, and tour packages, managing client reservations, and delivering exceptional customer service. The role includes maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring efficient booking processes, and achieving sales targets to support the company’s overall growth and profitability.


Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Marketing

  • Promote and sell travel packages, tours, and related services to individual and group clients.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Identify new business opportunities and actively participate in marketing campaigns and promotions.

2. Reservations Management

  • Handle client inquiries and provide tailored travel solutions, including flight itineraries and air ticketing.
  • Manage and confirm bookings for accommodations, transportation, and other travel-related services.
  • Ensure all reservations are accurately processed and confirmed in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and partners to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.

3. Customer Service

  • Address customer questions, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally.
  • Provide clients with travel advice on itineraries, visa requirements, insurance, and related matters.
  • Conduct post-trip follow-ups to gather feedback and build long-term client loyalty.

4. Administrative Tasks

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of bookings, payments, and sales activities.
  • Prepare periodic sales and reservation reports as required by management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, service standards, and industry regulations.

5. Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with the marketing, operations, and finance teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve sales performance and customer satisfaction.

6. Market Research & Competitor Analysis

  • Stay updated on travel industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging destinations.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for new travel products, destinations, or service enhancements.

Job Requirements

1. Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Tourism, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

2. Experience

  • Proven experience in sales, reservations, marketing, or customer service, preferably in the travel and tourism industry.
  • Familiarity with booking systems, travel platforms, and reservation tools is essential.

3. Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre is a strong advantage.

4. Sales & Customer Service Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Strong negotiation, persuasive communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and professionally resolve issues.

5. Industry Knowledge

  • Comprehensive understanding of travel and tourism products, including destinations, accommodations, and transport.
  • Awareness of visa requirements, travel regulations, and itinerary planning.

6. Personal Attributes

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively.
  • A collaborative team player with a positive attitude.
  • Flexible and able to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.

7. Language Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in additional languages is an added advantage.
