Job Purpose:
The Senior Logistics Officer will play a critical role in driving the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics operations to support the company’s overall objectives. This role involves overseeing the end-to-end logistics process, including deliveries, inventory management, and supplier coordination, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to high standards of quality and timeliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating logistics strategies to enhance operational efficiency and achieve company objectives.
- Oversee and monitor logistics operations, including deliveries, inventory management, and supplier coordination, ensuring smooth processes, adherence to quality standards, and timely execution.
- Serve as the primary escalation point and provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to Logistics Officers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
- Ensure accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of vehicle deliveries and share comprehensive reports.
- Coordinate and communicate daily, weekly, and monthly plans with the GPS department and other relevant teams.
- Maintain precise records by chassis number for vehicles that are ready and not ready for delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) and assembly-related issues, ensuring timely resolutions.
- Lead operations during emergencies or in the absence of the Logistics Supervisor to maintain operational continuity.
- Partner with various departments to align logistics activities with broader organizational goals.
- Initiate and lead process improvement efforts within the logistics department, and support the creation and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Performing any other relevant activity assigned from time to time
Qualifications:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Proven experience in logistics management or related fields.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
