Role: Shift Supervisor

Location: Dar es Salaam , Tanzania

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate fulfillment center and last-mile team tasks in a given shift
  • Ensure the business has real-time visibility of the operations performance matrixs
  • Implement tactical strategies to maximize asset utilization for both fleet and warehouse space
  • Keep operation costs under control by ensuring optimal routes, delivery-in-full-on-time (DIFOT), and enhance FTE and outsourced labor productivity.
  • Identify process gaps or opportunities and implement best practices to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Collaborate with 3P providers to improve performance and processes in a cost-effective manner
  • Monitor volume forecasts, as appropriate, to ensure that network delivery capacity is always ahead of the fulfillment center capacity
  • Invest time in training a new generation of strong people ready to take on new challenges and opportunities while maintaining the same level of excellence in execution
  • Assist the inventory team in assessing inventory inaccuracies and recommend corrective actions needed to support continuous process improvement and operational excellence
  • Conduct employee performance appraisals, individual development plans, and succession plans to ensure business continuity
