- 1. KEY JOB PURPOSE
Supervises workshop teams and ensure delivery of high-quality and on time delivery of serviced trucks in line with set targets.
- 2. KEY DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES
o Ensure that workshop teams are adequately staffed to achieve objectives and that technicians are aware of procedures for using new products and equipment.
o Plan and conduct orientation of new team members by familiarizing them with work surroundings, explaining working hours, procedures, use of equipment and job expectations and ensure that new team members understand their respective duties.
o Maintain good relationships with customers.
o Conduct audit of maintenance and workshop operations for quality review.
o Ensure Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies, procedures and regulations are followed.
o Manage team’s performance in achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and perform on-the-job coaching to team members.
o Oversee on-the-road recovery operations for truck breakdowns.
o Oversee the work of contractors to ensure safety requirements as well as operating and quality standards are met.
o Plan maintenance schedules and resources.
o Plan work activities and manpower.
o Provide technical advice and recommendations for truck recovery plans.
o Review inspection and maintenance records to ensure accurate information is compiled for reporting.
o Ensure adequate maintenance of tools, equipment and other materials in the service area.
o Perform any other related work as assigned by the Line Manager.

o Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering o Minimum of three (3) years of working experience in logistics field on similar position. o Considerable knowledge of diesel engine mechanics; Trucks make-up; Parts suppliers o Ability to plan, organize and direct the work of skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled employees engaged in repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment. o Knowledge of an automated Fleet Management Information System |
